Quick way to get to the Silver Sands Beach - using the footpaths:
worthy view to the beach

"As I walked into Worthy View I heard the birds singing rejoicing in my arrival. I walked past the decorative ponds and pergola draped with blossoms.

On entering the house I was immediately struck by the cool breezes . Of the houses that I have visited in Silver Sands, and that's quite a lot, this is the coolest house temperature-wise. This villa is light and as bright as the cook's (Shamillie) smile.

On entering the living area - WOW! What a 'worthy' view! Panoramic vista of the Silver Sands Beach and the beautiful North Coast. I walked from the living area to the balcony and down to the pool. Shady area to sit and watch the view outdoors while Clinton worked in the garden. The garden has soursop, coconut, breadfruit, lime and guava.

Worthy View was built by the original owners, George and Beryl Clarke, in 1974 and is still traditionally furnished with Jamaican antiques. Their grandaughters, who now own the house, have tried to retain these childhood memories and have left the house mostly unchanged apart from the introduction of internet in the living area and the Sea View bedroom . This view is something you could watch all day, so there is no TV. Old time Jamaican charm.

Pulling myself away from the view in the living area I entered the Sea View bedroom. Magnificent four-poster mahogany king bed with mosquito net, just in case, but the house is screened. You may lie in bed and look at that awesome view. There is a telescope in the bedroom for you to "spy" on the passing cruise ships.  All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms.

The second bedroom has twin beds and overlooks the garden.

The third bedroom is known as the Garden Room and is also furnished with a mahogany four-poster king bed. Relax on a chaise lounge at the foot of the bed.

With regard to the ponds and the unfenced pool, this vacation rental may not be a suitable house for mobile toddlers and small children who like to climb and are unable to swim." (contributed by Dr. Lynn Thompson)
