Dearest Prem, Angela, and all the Silver Sands staff:
Well, we we have been back home in the UP of Michigan for two weeks and once again are awaiting the beginning of another Midwest snow and blowing snow storm tonight. It makes sitting in front of the fireplace and dreaming about Silver Sands and Duncan's Bay, Jamaica, all the more precious.
This year we spent our week at Hang Time. We had a wonderful time! Lucille and Ingrid made us feel at home immediately and we thought of them much more like family than "staff". Ingrid's meals were fantastic. We actually took pictures of her fried chicken. It looked like it belonged on a magazine cover and tasted like it belonged on a gourmet cooking show! Lucille was such a sweety and took very good care of all of us. From great-grandparents to the great grandchildren, everyone had a comfortable stay because Hang Time is a very comfortable villa, with a lay-out that is accommodating to being together in a group as well as allowing for privacy when one chooses it.
Since we were fortunate to be in Silver Sands during the full moon in February, we sat up on the upstairs patio the night of the full moon. It was magical. The winds were blowing softly; the sea was sparkling in the moonlight, and there was faint music coming from down on the beach......
This year we brought friends along with us for their anniversary because we have talked about SS so much. They stayed at Nutshell, so we got to meet Mavis. We also got a chance to stop at Tu'Mac and visit with Constance and Cynthia. It was fun to see them again.
I think that is what makes Silver Sands so special. We have come to be genuinely care about the people we meet who take care of us and look forward to seeing them all when we return. God Willing, we will return next February. Once again, thank you for another enjoyable week at Silver Sands....maybe someday we will be able to stay longer.........
