How to Check-In and Check-Out at Worthy View

Authentic Guest Feedback that says it all:

"Wow!" is all I can say about our vacation to Worthy View. As others have stated in their reviews, the pictures don't truly capture the beauty of the Caribbean Sea from the house. From the moment we stepped in the door, I knew we had chosen the right place for our Jamaican stay. There is a breeze from mid morning to evening which cooled the entire house. Because of the breeze, we kept the large doors on the upper floor open all day.

The charming house was built in the 70's and is furnished with many antiques. There is ample seating in living room. The beds were firm but comfortable. We enjoyed sleeping under the mosquito nets. The bedrooms are equipped with mini-split AC units which we used at night while sleeping. The bathrooms are older and served their purpose just fine. If you are looking something ritzy, this is not the place for you. We loved the fact that it was a beach house that we were not afraid of tracking in a little sand (just a little).

Shamille (cook and head of the house) and Georgia (housekeeper) were spectacular. We felt at home right away with them both. They are friendly, kind, and oh so helpful. I must have asked a million questions about a million different things. They both were always ready to make our stay comfortable in every way. Shamille is an amazing cook and we asked her to plan traditional Jamaican meals. We opted for two meals a day with a very light snack around lunch. She was prepared to cook whatever we wanted. Her seafood pasta rivaled any great seafood restaurant! It was very nice to not have to think about meals or clean up. Since we opted for the hours 9-5, we did the dinner dishes after Georgia and Shamile left each night. Other than that, all clean up was taken care of. Georgia daily made the beds, swept up, and did the laundry twice during our stay.

There is a beautiful coral reef off the beach. We took a short walk down to the beach almost every morning to snorkle the reef. The water is a very clear aqua. The wind was weakest in the morning so we found that was the best time to snorkle. We saw stingray, starfish, conch, pufferfish, sea urchins, and many variety of fish. If you decide to come, bringing a mask, snorkle, and fins is a must. There is an outdoor shower that we used to rinse off the sand before we jumped in the pool after our daily snorkling adventure. Did I mention the view from the pool is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s?

At night, the stargazing is beautiful. There is little light pollution so be prepared to be awed by the nighttime sky. We did use bug spray at night since the mosquitoes seemed to be out more in the evening.

Overall, I highly recommend Worthy View. Our family plans to return sometime in the near future. It is the ultimate in relaxation the Jamaican way.
