Hi just thought I would drop a few lines to express huge appreciation for the welcome you gave us (The Wookey Hole Cricket club) at the end of September 05. I think I can speak for all who thoroughly enjoyed their holiday at Silver Sands.
My family stayed at Tu mac Villa along with our good Neighbours from Wookey Hole and a couple of cricket lads who tolerated the children jumping into the pool at six in the morning. We were made at home by Constance and Cynthia who spoilt us the whole time we were there! The food was delicious and the children have never eaten so healthily. They have never gone to bed so early either, tired out by 6.30 all 5 were usually crashed out on their beds leaving time for the Adults to enjoy more rum punch well into the early hours. We enjoyed the daily visits made by John bringing us fish/lobsters caught by his friend and we often looked to Constance for her approval, to buy or not to buy!
We also had the opportunity to see John sing along with other Fishermen at the Fisherman's beech, Such huge talent going down there. Mine and my neighbour Becky's favourite memory was singing a long with John to Bob Marley's One Love!
We would also like to thank Mark the bus driver for being so patient and waiting for stragglers to come out of night clubs. We didn't get an opportunity to say goodbye properly when he dropped us at the airport so please can you pass on our thanks.
Now I have experienced a holiday at Silver Sands I don't thing I will be able to match it with any other. I am so glad we didn't stay in a hotel because I don't think we would have experienced the culture of your beautiful country and people.
Thanks again for making our holiday and cricket tour a memorable one!
Lots of love Melitta Izzard and family Becky Stott and Family Mark and Tom (The Lads)!xxx
