We had a great time at Roots Cottage. I was introduced to your website by the owner of Jamahome who's ad I saw in the Brown Alumni magazine. They were booked for the week we wanted and they advised me to check out your site. I'm so happy that they did.
Because I booked on behalf of all members of our group of eight, I was a little worried leading into the vacation but started to relax when our transportation from the airport was there as planned. We received a warm welcome from your staff at reception and then by Dorothy and Joy when the driver delivered us to the door at Roots.
Your website is very well organized and accurately describes the villas and services. As a matter of fact, we visited several of the villas while we were there and the actual villas were even nicer than the photos on your site. The abundance of flowering shrubs along the streets was especially welcome since we had just left a snowfilled winter behind.
The beach itself is beautiful and even though the temperature was always above 80 we were never too hot thanks to the cooling tradewinds. The bar and grill at the beach was very handy as were the reception area and the addition of the spa. Several members of our group thoroughly enjoyed the services offered.
Dorothy provided us with great meals everyday such as lobster, red snapper, chicken, goat and beef. We asked her to cook everything Jamaican style and were pleasantly surprised with her cooking. Joy kept our cottage very neat and clean and did laundry everyday.
We took a few side trips and were lucky to have Lascelles as our driver and guide. Our group especially liked our stop at Freemont Hotel in Montego Bay. The views from there were spectacular and made us feel like we had gone back in time. We also liked our outing to the Glimmering Waters.
Please thank all of your staff for their contributions in making our vacation a great success. We are already getting our group together to book for next year.
