Hello,
I wanted to send you a note before reality sets in and my wonderful memories begin to fade. As you know, our friends Mary Jo and Dave from Nashville, Tennessee, came with us again this year, plus, our friend Sonya from Rock Hill, South Carolina, joined us for the first time.
I believe I speak for everyone when I say we thoroughly enjoyed our visit -- the only real complaint I have is that the time went by much too quickly. The weather was not as nice as it has been in years past (which is totally beyond anyone's control), but ANY day in Jamaica is a GOOD day!
We really enjoyed getting to know Jackie and Deann at Primrose Path. Jackie's cooking was wonderful, and we enjoyed the Jamaican cuisine.
Tom and I walked up to JeSuis Content to see Jackie/Lisa. She was our housekeeper/cook in 2002 for our first visit. She is one of the primary reasons we fell in love with Silver Sands. We also saw Yasmine and Elaine at Oh Boy (stayed there in 2008). I was tickled to learn that Jackie (Primrose Path) is Miss Enid's daughter. Miss Enid took care of us at the Nutshell in 2003, and has since retired. So, other than Sheryl (Emerald by the Sea), we were able to re-connect with many of the ladies who have taken care of us over the years.
When Martin picked us up from the airport on our arrival day, he turned to us and said "let's go home". That sums it up so completely. Silver Sands is like "home" -- a wonderful, relaxing and true vacation "home".
Dave took approximately 900 photos during our visit. When he sends them to me, I'll forward them to you for you to share with whomever will enjoy them.
It was great to see you again, Angella. Please convey to everyone our heartfelt love and appreciation for sharing your wonderful Jamaica with us, yet again.
Sincerely,
Clydie Mayhugh
