Our group of 10 consider ourselves among the very fortunate people who have spent time at Pineapple Villa. Although many members of our group have travelled extensively, we all agreed that we couldn't have made a better choice for our winter holiday.
Our transportation from the airport was on time and delivered us to the Villa without delay.
We felt at home immediately after being greeted at the door by the staff and choosing our respective bedrooms. It didn't matter which bedroom became ours for the week because they are all equally very comfortable and attractive. The luxury sheets and towels were also an appreciated added touch.
Soon after arrival we sat down to a fantastic Jamaican syle dinner. The preparation, presentation and wonderful taste of spicy chicken, cheesy potatoes, rice and salad were a peek at what we became accustomed to mid morning (we decided on brunch as opposed to 3 meals) and early evening. The desserts were different for every dinner and highly anticipated by everyone.
Gwendolyn, Angella, Judy and Pinky could not have been more kind or accomodating. They made sure that we always had everything we needed from water to beer and the best pina coladas we've ever had. Before they left every evening, they prepared the coffee pot so that all we had to do in the morning was plug it in and shortly there was plenty of coffee for everyone.
The pool and patio area at Pineapple Villa was perfect for a large group. Because it had so many seating areas we were able to spread out to read and relax or get together to play cards. We were surprised to find out that we couldn't hear people at one end when we were sitting at the other end.
The white sand beach and warm water at Silver Sands is great. The Bar and Grill on the Patio is very convenient as is the Villa Mart that has a great variety from food to souvenirs.
We used the tennis court early mornings and a few late evenings which helped to wear off some of the calories from the great food.
A few members of our group made appointments at the Spa and were all very happy with the services they received.
Again this year we were lucky to have Lascelles Brown to take us on outings. He is very informative, arrives on time and we always feel safe driving with him.
Looking forward to returning next February for a third consecutive winter vacation at Silver Sands.
