I am glad to have gotten your email, so I could write you and let you know how wonderful our vacation was!
We had a great time at Silver Sands, and I am so glad that we were able to come and visit. Jamaica was more beautiful that we had even heard, and I know our good feeling about your lovely country was due in large part to the people of Silver Sands.
Roots cottage was spacious and well kept, and we enjoyed getting to know Joy and, especially, Dorothy. THey made us feel at home and really pampered us! Our four year old really got attached to these kind women, and still talks about them and asks if we can go visit them. I'm all for it! We also enjoyed getting to know our driver, Martin. He was very kind. His brother, Mason, took us out for a day as well, and I really enjoyed hearing his stories of Jamaica, past and present.
The beach at Silver Sands was gorgeous - and the water unbelievably clear. I grew up in Hawaii and have seen a few nice beaches in my time, but yours is certainly one of the most beautiful.
I have to give YOU credit, Kimesha. When I called to asked some questions about Silver Sands and whether it would be the right place for my family to come, you assured me that we had found the spot for a perfect family trip. You were right, and I appreciate you convincing me so!
The Villa Mart had so much of what we needed - I was impressed. The bar and patio staff were very nice and did a good job with a mix of activities in the evening, but never making anyone feel pressured to participate.
As a family, we have been lucky enough to travel over much of the US and other countries as well. We have stayed in condos, homes and even one all-inclusive place before (in Mexico). Nothing really compares to the idea of staying in a villa, where you have a great mix of your own family and getting to know local people. We will certainly look for this kind of accommodation as we continue our travels - and will most certainly include a return trip to Silver Sands in our plans!
