Thanks for enquiring about our stay, I had planned to send a huge thank you mail anyway, but this just cemented the idea.
The stay was wonderful, your staff was “Top Notch”, please send individual expressions of appreciation to all the staff that served us there, I hope I have all the names right, Ms Una, Scotty, Pauline, Merline and Richie. If I left anyone out please thank them also for us.
The entire experience was unforgettable, the group of us enjoyed every minute spent there and the overwhelming sentiment was that this retreat was the best ever, the accommodation, the staff, the grounds, the security, and the very relaxed laid back atmosphere, endeared the property to us all. I can say with all certainty that we’ll be back. Many accolades to Prem’s property, I had the good fortune to run into him after not seeing him for a number of years, and he has done wonders for the Silver Sands organization, as well as for his own property, many kudos to him for that.
Specifically, let me answer the questions posed. We loved both cottages, because of the dynamics of our group, Endless Summer was ideal, with Roots really playing a supporting role for sleeping only. Compared to the website, I think the images were realistic and appropriate. We had no problems whatsoever. The patio area was quite adequate and the area between the beach and the cottage was well utilized for our outdoor activities. The pool also came in for some serious “workouts” with the kids having a real ball.
We were all very lazy as far as beach going was concerned, very few of us actually went swimming there, and this was I believe due to the distance to the beach. If Prem could arrange to get “say about 500 truckloads of sand” and create a sandy beach immediately in front of Endless Summer, then I think we would have to be hauling people out of the water in the middle of the night, to send them to their beds! If this is a work or thought in progress, please let us know! We all, at various times strolled to the beach, and it was acknowledged to be a very nice beach, no complaints there. In the scheme of things it really wasn’t very far, but as I said before, we’re a lazy bunch.
Reception staff were very good, we were very well taken care of by Angela and Desiree, many thanks to them. We had no issues there. Villa mart was quite adequate for our needs, I was pleasantly surprised at stock variety and levels, it was quite convenient for topping up on items that we ran out of.
My one suggestion is, if at all possible, make the beach immediately in front, a “swimmable” one. It is a tall order I know, but that would have made our stay absolutely perfect. Hope it can happen.
