We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Junie and Suzette took wonderful care of us. The house was absolutely amazing. I also want to call out Tanesha and Jameal - they were amazing to work with during the reservation process and helped in picking an excursion. The massages were great!

The only slightly negative experience was at the grill on the beach. We ate dinner there one night (2 people) and we waited about an hour and a half for our food. I would understand if they were busy but th

My stay at Roots Cottage December 2023 was outstanding! The staff Miss Junie and Miss Suzette are the nicest ladies and feel like family. Everyday a new wonderful Jamaican meal would be prepared for us with beautiful table settings and every dish was amazing. The Roots Cottage itself is spacious and has an incredible beach area that can be for snorkeling if the waves are not rough. The fishing village next door is a great place for fresh seafood to cook and souvenirs at good prices it also has

Ms. Junie and Ms. Suzette were absolutely wonderful and accommodating to our needs. Ms. Junie even provided her personal hair dryer as there was none that was working. The TV needs to be replaced or fixed as the screen was dark on the right side. Other than these minor things we had a fabulous time and would return.

Roots Cottage was a lovely villa for us right on the beach. The staff of My Silver Sands is tremendous. I'd truly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a relaxing, low key, and distinctly more Jamaican experience.

This was one of our top favorite vacations... its unbelievable that with close bloodlines to Jamaica it took us so long to get there BUT maybe the wait was so we could do it through Silverands and even more special get to stay at Roots Cottage. We are already planning the next trip VERY SOON, around availability at Roots, I dont care to stay anywhere else.
Ms Junie and Ms Suzette made us feel so comfortable and special. I cannot say enough.

The cottage was stunning, beautifully decorated. The staff were absolutely amazing, anything we needed or requested they made it happen. As an FYI, no air condition in the main common area but we requested a pedestal fan and that helped but the room gets very hot. Also you can hear music from the neighboring village. But all in all it was a beautiful place and the service was top notch. My husband and I also had massages for the first time at Silver Sands and they were on time and excellent. We

We really enjoyed the Roots. The Villa was awesome. The view from the Master bedroom was priceless. Ms Junie & Ms Suzette were awesome. They took great care of us. They became members of our family. I am looking forward to returning .

- Great location - sea front, amazing views
- Spacious villa
- very well decorated
- Staff were friendly, kept the property clean and cooked very well
Watch outs:
- noise on week ends from beach next to the estate
- living room gets hot (fans aren't strong enough)
- would be better if staff started at 8 and left 4, breakfast takes a lot of the morning
- TV visual and sound were poor

Our time spent at Roots was good but it was also not so good as we were very disappointed in the amount of heat we had to endure as we lounged in the common areas especially in the living room, the kitchen and the patio. it seems like the wind and the breeze from the sea does not reach to the house and the fans are too high, so it was constantly hot and unbearable forcing us to spend the majority of our time cooling off in our A/C rooms instead of being able to enjoy the areas where we thought w
