'Experience Jamaica Programme' Reintroduced

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has reintroduced its ‘Experience Jamaica Programme’ in a bid to encourage more tourism in the country.

The initiative, which was introduced last year, is expected to help to boost sales for tourism entities and to help the country to recover from the fallout resulting from the West Kingston unrest.

The 'Experience Jamaica Programme' provides discounts of up to 50 percent to generate consumer interest in local tourism facilities.

According to the director of tourism, John Lynch, the reintroduction of the 'Experience Jamaica Programme' is timely and it will benefit school and other groups organizing day trips.

The JTB says there will be a strong media campaign and community road shows to showcase the offerings of tourism partners. The 'Experience Jamaica Programme' will end in December.
