Location: Duncans area is quiet and laid back, about a 45 minute easy drive from Mo'Bay. I would recommend renting a car so you can get around. Don't worry, the driving is not so bad. Silver Sands is a gated community with 24 hour security, no one can get in that's not supposed to be there. You wont see high rise hotels here, the view is the sea and green hills.
The Cottage: Spectacular!! It's better than the pics they have online, furniture and decor has been updated. Living room and bedroom have beautiful dark hardwood floors, comfy king size bed, luxury linens, lots of pillows on the bed, quiet split unit a/c in bedroom, huge dresser and closet. Also there's a safe. Bathroom has jetted tub, separate shower and is quite spacious. Both bedroom and living room have flat screen tv's with cable. Also speaker system to play your own music, bring your cable. Living room has a sofa and chair. Kitchen fully equipped including microwave, coffee maker, blender and stools to sit at the counter. Balcony of course has the best views and a table/chairs for dining. Two beach lounge chairs included as well as an outdoor shower to rinse off.
Now the best part...Marcia! She will take care of you like you are royalty!! Marcia does the housekeeping around the cottage, will also do your laundry. She will meet with you to ask what/when you want to eat, shop for you and cook your meals. She'll run a tab at the local grocery store for the best prices and source your fruits/veggies fresh from local farmers! The fruits and veggies were so so fresh. She will also go down to the fishing beach and get fresh fish, lobster. Marcia is an excellent cook please do try her Jamaican dishes.
The Beach: the beach is pristine white soft powder sand, it's raked every day. There are lifeguards on duty.
The property has a bar and small restaurant, I did not eat there as Marcia's cooking was so delicious. Also there's a store/commissary that has food, breads, alcohol, toiletries and a few souveniers.
