elicious dirty bananas and other drinks, and our housekeeper kept the place nice and tidy and helped with laundry. The house has a small pool that's good for dipping which my niece loved.

There are a few areas for improvement - we were advised by Silver Sands that we could pay for the food (except for fruits and vegetables) by credit card, but the grocery store was closed so we had to pay cash. Luckily we were able to cobble up enough cash but that could be a problem for future guests. I was in the 2nd bedroom upstairs and there was a huge amount of ants in the bathroom. The butler Shane took care of it immediately, but I still found some insects later in the room and bed. The shower has curtains on both sides making you feel trapped and uncomfortable - I used the master bathroom outdoor shower after the first day. The outdoor shower head should probably be replaced and a fan or AC is needed in the kitchen for our poor chef who was sweating in the heat to make our meals.

All in all, I would definitely recommend Mai Tai and look forward to staying again!

The best part of the experience for me was certainly the warm, welcoming presence of the staff who each displayed genuine hospitality throughout the WHOLE stay. They were so accommodating, catering to our needs and sooo very helpful even to the needs of one party who was disabled.
The food did SHAT! It was authentic Jamaican food that was clearly cooked with love. Something important for me was that the food was not too spicy and still VERY flavourful. The pastry was also divine.

The place is advertised as being wheelchair accessible and it is, in some ways but it was more difficult in actuality to move from the bedroom to the dining room and from the bedroom to bathroom in another room etc. It would be good to look at how this may be adjusted.

This was overall a WONDERFUL family getaway. I hope in the future there will be discounts for Jamaican citizens.

PS. The floating tubes and noodles in the pool made the pool experience easy and enjoyable for all even allowing for my mom with Multiple Sclerosis to enjoy the experience as well.
