Miss Thelma and her assistant were absolutely amazing. Her cooking was second to none and always done to perfection. Both were responsive to every request and made our stay one of the best ever. While beach house was very well maintained and super clean it would do well with upgrading the furniture. The mattresses really are extremely uncomfortable...Like sleeping on springs. It was a big spoiler for what could have been a perfect vacation. Would return if the long needed upgrades are done.

The staff were wonderful! Thelma is a special treasure. She is a good cook, and a gentle, kind, and intelligent person. Some of the past visitors seemed not to have enjoyed the cooking but that was before Thelma took over this job. We loved all the delicious Jamaican meals she prepared expertly, and came home a little heavier than we arrived. ?? Camille was a new addition to the team and together with Thelma, took care of our laundry, provided beautiful tropical flower arrangements throughout the house, and allowed us to have a wonderful relaxing time.

After our first week at BH, we were joined by friends who stayed with us for the second week. They said that this was their more relaxing vacation ever! Thank you, Thelma and Camille!

We have been vacationing at Silver Sands for over 30 years, and Beach House is definitely our favorite villa! Looking forward to our next visit!

ions. Ms. Paulette kept our rooms and the living areas tidy and assisted Ms. Thelma in the food preparation for breakfast and dinner. The pool was fairly cool in the winter months so we didn’t use it as much as we would have due to its temperature. This villa was clean, tidy, and overall sufficient for our stay but could use a few updates/upgrades. The master bedroom king bed was fine but all my other guests commented that the twin beds in the other three rooms were hard and not comfortable to sleep on. It would be nice to have a guest toilet in the house so your visitors don’t have to enter the bedrooms to use a bathroom. Three of the four toilets in the house have the super small toilet seats that should be upgraded to elongated toilets/toilet seats for guest comfort. While the refrigerator appears to be relatively new, it is too small to function as the main refrigerator for the house when fully occupied. We struggled to find space for our leftovers and food/beverage items we stocked in the house for our stay. As a guest of Silver Sands since 2004, I have stayed in many villas here and interacted with many of the staff over the years. Since food can be an important component of your vacation in Silver Sands, I would suggest that Silver Sands encourage all their cooks at all villas (not specific to Beach House) to develop a menu of food items that they prepare well and list out their specialties. This could give all of your future guests, whether new or old to Silver Sands, a starting point to establish a menu for the week and to make food choices based on their dietary preferences. After two weeks with Ms. Thelma and Ms. Paulette our favorite dishes were curry chicken, vegetable/pumpkin soup, oxtails, curry shrimp, and don’t forget to ask for the key lime pie with the Ovaltine cookie crust.
