The sliding doors in the house were either inoperable or nearly impossible to open and none of the women in our group were able to open them by themselves.

The house could be beautiful but is in desperate need of serious maintenance and upkeep. It should not be rented until that is done. I will return to Silver Sands without hesitation but would never consider this house again. I should have paid attention to the other reviews and found a higher quality house for our trip. Do yourself a favor and do not rent this house until it is overhauled.

The electricity changes over from the power provider (JPS) to solar whenever there is a power interruption was a manual one. We have invested in an updated system that is now seamless. Downstairs bathroom leaked soaking the bathroom mat for 4 days while there. Unable to watch the tv because the system was complicated. The fridge was not very cold and the chairs throughout the house were uncomfortable, except for dining table chairs. The electricity kept going on and off because of the fuse box and Akeem had to assist. The front door needs attention because a strip is falling off and it does not seem very secure when locked. Additionally, we had about 9 hours without electricity and there were no candles or matches available to provide light.
