Unfortunately, the help was too eager to get a tip and in fact one person reminded me that she should get a bigger tip than the others. When 3 staff members received a generous tip with the expectation to share with the support staff, my wife was approached and told others did not get their tip. Unbeknownst to me, my guest paid the”extra” tip.

The entitlement of requesting a tip is foreign to me as well as reminding me to tip more. I never experienced this behavior at other Silver Sands properties.

No working landline phone- and we needed to call Urgent Care. Not sure what would happen to guests without a local number.

Groceries for 5 meals were beyond expectations- I live in Kingston and I understand the costs of groceries. The vegetables/fruit bill was beyond what an average Jamaican would expect for 5 meals for a family of 7.

I felt taken advantage of as a tourist and non-Jamaican.

There are so many other properties in Silver Sands (I’ve been to 3 others) and never experienced this feeling before.
